IIT Madras is the organising institute for GATE 2027. Its notifications page says the application portal closed on 16 October 2026, after a short extra window with a late fee from 15 October at 10:30 am to 16 October at 10:29 am. The official dates page lists the examinations on 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21 February 2027. City allotment is listed for 4 January 2027. The admit-card download date was still marked TBA on that page when this note was written. IIT Madras has also told applicants not to delete the DigiLocker account used for the form.
If you already applied, watch gate2027.iitm.ac.in for the city slip in January and for the admit card. Keep the same DigiLocker account. This note does not announce a new registration window.
