OpenAI is offering Indian colleges ChatGPT Edu licences

OpenAI wants Indian colleges to teach with its tools, not only to share logins. Raghav Gupta, head of education for OpenAI in India and Asia Pacific, told Deccan Herald that education partnerships already cover more than one lakh ChatGPT Edu licences. The same push includes job-skill certifications, teacher training, and Study Mode, which is built to walk a student through a problem.

For a diploma or degree student, the useful route is a licence issued by the college. Use it to practise a derivation, debug a program, or revise a chapter, then check the result against the textbook or lab manual. An AI reply is a study aid. It is not an answer sheet.

For students

If your college announces an official ChatGPT Edu login, use only that address. A free-looking GPT site in a WhatsApp group that asks for your password is not this programme.
